About Me

A little about my journey, my experience, and the caring approach I bring to working with children.

Working with children is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I was
only six years old when I decided that I wanted to become a teacher, and that passion has
stayed with me throughout my life.

I’m a qualified teacher with QTS, a Kindergarten Diploma and over 25 years of experience working with children across early years, primary and SEN settings.

Throughout my career, I have always believed that children learn best when they feel safe,
understood and encouraged. Every child is different, so I take time to get to know their
personality, strengths and individual needs. Whether I am teaching piano, supporting early
learning, providing SEN support or caring for children, my approach is warm, patient and child-centred.

Music has always been an important part of my life. My musical education began in Hungary, where I learned through the Kodály approach, with its emphasis on singing, rhythm, listening and experiencing music. After moving to the UK, I continued developing my knowledge of early music education, and completed the Certificate of Colourstrings Music Kindergarten Teaching (Phase 1). The Colourstrings approach, which grew from Kodály’s principles, uses singing, movement, listening, rhythm and imaginative play to introduce young children to music in a natural and engaging way. These influences are at the heart of the playful, creative and child-centered way I introduce young children to music.

I also have experience supporting children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD
and social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Above all, I want children to feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that with patience,
encouragement and the right support, every child can develop confidence, new skills and
pride in what they can achieve.

I am First Aid trained and hold an Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service.
