Learning and Tutoring

Warm, individual learning support for children in Reception and Key Stage 1, helping them build skills and confidence at their own pace

Helping Little Learners Grow in Confidence

Sometimes children simply need a little more time, encouragement and individual attention
for things to begin to click.

I offer warm, individual learning support for children in Reception and Key Stage 1,
including phonics, reading, writing, spelling, early maths and homework support.

Sessions are adapted to your child’s needs and pace, helping them develop their skills while
building confidence in what they can do.

Learning at Your Child’s Pace

Sessions can include:

  • Phonics and early reading
  • Writing and spelling
  • Early maths and number skills
  • Reading comprehension
  • Homework Support
  • Educational games and activities

Learning is kept varied and engaging, with shorter activities where appropriate. Children are
encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes and try again without feeling under pressure.

Children with additional needs are very welcome, and activities can be adapted to suit
their individual way of learning.

Working Alongside School

Where helpful, I can follow the phonics approach or learning methods used by your child’s
school. We can also practise areas they are currently working on, providing consistency
between school and home.
